Welcome to U20 Sprachcaffe teenager language programs
Salut! Ciao! Nihao!
Energetic young people who are having fun learning?
That’s the way it really is with Sprachcaffe.
You meet interesting young people from all over the world, explore new destinations, enjoy the sun, the beach and the ocean or fascinating cities and also learn your chosen language.
Language holidays expand your horizons.
You experience new cultures and the world becomes your home.
Whether in Malta, Toronto or Montréal, in Brighton, Eastbourne, Exmouth or London, in Barcelona or Málaga, in Rome, Firenze, Frankfurt, Playa Del Carmen, in Nice, Paris or Beijing, you will gather lots of new impressions, have loads of fun and literally join in the conversation everywhere!
Supervision by our Teamers
You will be accompanied by our „Teamers“ who have been specially trained by
us. The Teamers are between 21 and 30 years
old and from different countries throughout
Europe. Therefore, only the national language will be spoken at the destination. The
Teamers enjoy spending time with you, will live in the residence with you and accompany you throughout the day and also organize the leisure program.
If you have any questions or special requests
the Teamers will help you at any time! One
Teamer works with 15 students. Students who
are 18-20 years of age will be able to enjoy the
complete support of the Sprachcaffe Teamers.
They are not bound to the Sprachcaffe leisure
program but may join any activities from
the program that are of interest to them.
Students of 17 years or younger will be expected
to follow the leisure program and
curfew as directed by Sprachcaffe.
Overview U20 program destinations, programs, age range and season
For most of our schools you can take an online
language test before the course; in any other case the test is done on Monday at
our school. You will be placed in
a group that matches your language skill.
Groups have a maximum of 15 students.
The Standard Course has 4 lessons (a 45 minutes) per day from Monday to Friday.
You will acquire oral skills and gain confidence in a foreign language and furthermore, expand your vocabulary, improve
your grammar and polish your writing
The Intensive Course has 6 lessons (a 45 minutes) per day from Monday to Friday.
The Intensive Course builds upon the Standard
Course and focuses on the 4 skills: reading, writing,
speaking and listening during the extra lessons.
Teaching material will be provided for the duration of the course. You will get a certificate of participation upon completion of your course.
The Standard Course typically takes place from Monday to Friday from 09:00h to 12:30h.
Participants of the Intensive Course will also have extra lessons between 13:00h and 14:30h.
The exact teaching
times can vary according to the
location and local timetables.
During the summer - on rare occasions - lessons can also take place in the afternoon due to organizational requirements, in these cases we organize the activity program in the morning.

*Subject to change, the exact schedule will be announced at the school.
It is important to know that the travel costs to your destination - like e.g. the plane ticket - are not included in the prices on this website.
Transfer from and to the airport is included in the accommodation price. There are different transfer times depending on the destination. Detailed information about transfer times and transfer airports can be found on the school‘s individual page.
Most commonly participants arrive on their own by plane. At the destination airport our representative will wait for you at the gate’s exit. After you have picked up your luggage you should look for our representative - holding a sign with our Sprachcaffe Logo - at the gate’s exit. In case of any unexpected problems you can reach our school via the Emergency telephone number which is stated in your voucher.
As we organize group transfers it might take a bit of
time until you leave the airport for your accommodation.
In the meantime you will have the
chance to get to know your new classmates
at the airport.
If you already arrive in the morning we would kindly ask you to be patient, as you can’t move into your room before 14:00h. On your day of departure you will have to leave your room not later than 12:00h. During any waiting times our teamer will take care of you.
You are also required to pay a key deposit if
you stay in the residence (please include this
in your budget). You will get this deposit back
on the day of departure, provided there is no
damage to the property or furnishing.
General arrival and departure days
Arrival is usually on Sunday and departure on Saturday if not stated otherwise on the respective school’s webpage. Please consider this when booking your flight. Extra nights are only available on request!
*Accommodation is optional, it is always possible to book the course and the leisure program without accommodation.
Depending on the destination you can choose between several options like homestay or residence or our famous Club Village in Malta.
Club Village - only Malta St. Julians
In Malta St. Julians you can stay in our famous Club Village, a unique campus with school, restaurant,
sports facilities and swimming pool.
Daily contact with local people, learning
about eating and living habits and using your
language skills right away; these are some of
the essential benefits of choosing a homestay. The ability to adjust to a different lifestyle and
respect other cultures is essential if you choose
Please note that a lot of host families don‘t live in the city centre, so you may have to walk a bit and/or go by public transport to school. Therefore, you should include transportation costs in your travel budget. A seven-day ticket typically costs between 12 € and 30 €.
Though most of the homestays are equipped with Internet access, it is not automatically included and you are advised to kindly ask your hosts whether you may use Internet in your accommodation.
Living in a residence with other students is a great alternative to a homestay. Especially for those who would like to have more free time. The residences are usually located closer to our schools which is convenient and saves travel time. Moreover you will also meet other language students from different countries so you can use your new language skills straight away.
Full board is always included. You will be provided with breakfast,
dinner and a packed lunch (with a sandwich,
drink and dessert) or a hot lunch. Meals are
always according to the typical food of the respective country.
consider that this is not an all-inclusive catering
so you will often get tap water with your
meal. You need to purchase your own drinks
and snacks outside of meals.
Allergies or dietary requirements
We kindly ask you to let us know of any allergies or
any dietary requirements. We
particularly need explicit information regarding
allergies. Please also let us know if you have to
take medicine regularly so we can inform the
teamers and - if necessary - your host family.
